Headliner: Said the Whale
Said The Whale is one-part Brian Wilson, one-part Nick Cave, a dash of the Shins, sprinkled with the Decemberists. Leave out the world of weary woe, shake, pour into your favorite legion glass and enjoy. They're a young band heading out into the world with a sound of their own."
Will Currie and The Country French
Will Currie & the Country French was originally conceived in the early part of 2006 as a few songs written in a small glass room in the basement of the Music Faculty at Wilfrid Laurier University. Will later assembled a small troupe of friends (and luckily wicked-bad musicians) to form an actual band. They began to tour around southern Ontario and over the course of a year, developed a fair amount of indie-buzz and an enthusiastic cult following. Their piano pop and energetic stage shows have resulted in packed clubs and dance parties wherever they play. The debut album "A Great Stage" was released in April of 2008 and can now be found in stores across Canada as well as on iTunes.
Will Currie & The Country French is:
Will Currie: the blonde kid at the keys and founder of the group.
Dan Beacock: the only non-percussionist of the bunch. Classical guitar whiz and classic rock afficianado.
Daniel MacPherson: bass guitar and dry wit. And glasses. Officially gives the band the most Dans per capita of any band in the world.
Steve Wood: percussion section leader. Elder and wisdom provider to the band in times of strife.
Aaron Mariash: lives upstairs from Will. Tune in Tuesdays at 8 for all the laughs. (Also plays drums every now and then.)
Amanda Currie: pro voice gal. she is the band's Martha, and every band needs one.

The Zolas
Zachary Gray and Tom Dobrzanski (formerly of Lotus Child) have teamed up once again, this time creating The Zolas. In late 2008, they went into the studio to record their album with producer Howard Redekopp (Mother Mother, Tegan and Sara), bassist Aidan Knight (Aidan Knight, Maurice), and drummer Ali Siadat (Mother Mother). It turned out really well, and combines elements of 60's rock; like organs, piano solos, and band backup vocal lines, with elements from all of the current music we still listen to, creating an album full of songs that, literally, had never been recorded before
